These terms of service apply to everyone who obtains a Wyrmfolk adoptable, regardless of their participation in the community or ARPG aspects of the game. By purchasing, trading for or otherwise obtaining a Wyrmfolk adoptable, you agree to abide by these terms. The TOS is subject to change as the need arises. Ignorance of the TOS is not a defense, and users found breaking these rules will be sanctioned accordingly, and may be refused service whether this is via banning an account or blacklisting a user from receiving Wyrmfolk adoptables.
Wyrmfolk is a closed species world, meaning you can’t create Wyrmfolk designs without specific approval from the owners - in practice, this usually means being an official artist, or obtaining a MYO slot item in-game, or doing the one-off free MYO quest. This includes more than just art for a design - until you have a slot, please keep any character profiling, literature, artwork, etc, of your planned design private.
After the sale has ended, full payment is required within 48 hours. Payments are processed via PayPal for RLC, or via the site for site currency. Payment Plans are generally not available, but may be on occasion. Refunds are not given ; however, you are free to resell following the community guidelines. The sellers retain the right to refuse service at their discretion.
MYOs are obtainable through sales on deviantart, discord, and are also obtainable in game. After you have finished designing your MYO, you must submit it for approval to the masterlist to get it officially recognised as a Wyrmfolk adoptable - please do not submit your design publicly until after it has been confirmed. (sta.sh is a good way to upload privately, should you need to.) MYO slots may not be resold as-is, though you may trade the slots. Customs are available from official artists, though openings and availability may vary - please do not harass any of the artists or attempt to ‘bribe’ them for customs when they are not open. We ask that if you ‘port’ a character design, that you are the original creator of the planned ported design, and that if you offer the Wyrmfolk adoptable for trade, you make it clear that it is a port, and what will be happening to the original design. Porting designs is discouraged, as it makes trading characters difficult
In-game items and currencies can be traded for other in-game items/currencies and art. You may not resell in-game items or currencies for real-life money, or other virtual game site currencies/items.
The masterlist is currently the definitive proof of ownership - please make sure to double-check any characters being offered to you are listed on the masterlist with that user, to prevent scamming. Character trades/sales must be submitted through the website to be valid. This requires both members of the trade to have an account. Please don’t scalp designs. There’s no official ‘rule’ on how much you can resell your character for, as investment into characters via art, literature and time is hard to value, but if we catch someone repeatedly buying designs only to flip them at a higher price, that is grounds for banning.
Violating these terms of service, or otherwise harassing staff, members or players is grounds for blacklisting/banning. A blacklisted or banned individual cannot participate in Wyrmfolk, and their designs will be voided - meaning they are no longer part of the Wyrmfolk world, and cannot ever be such again, instead being treated as one-off designs going forward. At no point will designs be repossessed by the group.
